While singing begins in the mind it ends up in other peoples minds. As a vocalist and performer, that means there's something greater than the beauty of a healthy functioning voice evidenced in singing-there's the message. Communication occurs between you and the your audience. Along the way are the tempting detours. Some of these wrong turns have devasting consequences and some are not as harmful as others. Some vocalists use GPS, some grow up knowing how to figure their way not knowing what they're doing. Others can't even start the car. Still some know how to use the maps in their glove compartment and when the ride get'a little bumpy, know where to turn. In the middle of the way is bodily relaxation, breathing, and vowel purity. Knowing how to practice perfectly will make way for possible perfect performance. There's going to be a need for lifestyle adaptation and opportunistic aids.
